Instead of just saying you can use AI, you'll be able to show how you scoped a problem, built an AI solution, and presented it to stakeholders. That's the kind of experience internship coordinators and club leaders notice.
This isn't a simulated case study. You'll collaborate in a small team to build something for a business partner, then demo it to them. It's portfolio-ready work you can link on applications, resumes, and LinkedIn.
You'll earn a certificate and clear bullet points for your resume, language you can use in college applications and internship interviews.

Motivated and curious students who want real-world experience using AI to create solutions for businesses. Students should be excited about working in a small group and making an impact both in their group and the company they will be working with.
This camp is designed as a non-technical camp where students of all backgrounds can learn to use AI. That said, there will be opportunities for the more technical students to expand their knowledge and apply their skills under the guidance of technical AI mentors.
The program is led by seasoned executives who work with businesses to upskill teams and co-create practical AI tools. We emphasize strong AI foundations and core business skills, anchored in responsibility and ethics, so students leave ready to make an impact.
“Working on the project taught me how real product development works and how to collaborate on a team with real responsibilities. I used the experience in my college essays and listed it as a main extracurricular on my Common App. It even helped me get into my college's Business AI Club, where I now work on AI projects with local companies. Presenting our solution to executives gave me confidence and skills I've used in professional meetings and interviews in college.”
Ben, First Year at UVA
“As someone who wasn't an all-A student in high school, this hands-on experience became my key differentiator during college applications. The real-world credibility I gained from building and presenting production-ready AI solutions helped me stand out to admissions committees.”
Amir, Freshman at Pitt
“Collaborating with real clients helped me develop my presentation skills, learn to think like a builder, and see my ideas turn into real-world solutions. The generative AI experience I gained became a highlight in my college applications, and it continues to help me at UVA.”
Kooper, First Year at UVA
